I know this has failed for over a year on every forum I've joined, but whatever.
OBJECT: Be the first to reach 50 points by making words based on definitions.
PLAY: The Game Moderator gives a definition. Players send Private Messages to the Moderator containing the word they come up with for the definition, or "Sniglet". After all players have sent in their Sniglets, the Mod will post a list of the words, including the Mod's own, in a random order. Everyone except the moderator will vote for their favorite. When all players are done voting, the Mod reveals who created each Sniglet and awards points.
SCORING (APPLIES TO BOTH MODS AND REGULARS):3 points are awarded to you if someone votes for your Sniglet. 2 points are given to you if you vote for the Mod's Sniglet. 1 point is given to the Mod if no one votes for the Mod's Sniglet. You may vote for your own, but it will not give you points. If two players create the same Sniglet, they each get 3 points for every vote their sniglet receives. If your Sniglet matches the Mod's Sniglet, you get 2 points for creating the same Sniglet as the Mod and you will get 3 for every vote the Sniglet receives.
Hyphens and compound words are allowed.
SNIGLET EXAMPLES:
Being able to drive and fold a map at the same time: Accordionated.
The odor emanating from an exercise room after an aerobics workout: Aeroma.
To turn one's pillow over and over looking for the cool spot: Blivett.
One unit of toothpaste, measured bristle to bristle: Gleemule.
The springy device attached to the back of a door that prevents it from marring the wall: Doorslinky.
