I've tried rap, and even though it's technically a denomination of techno, I'm not that into it.

Because they write songs about getting high and getting away with it.

That's why you listen to Hip Hop, it's actually a great simple melody, with a life story, not shooting people and doing drugs...Along with girls and cars. It talks about their life actually.
